So today it's hard to believe that all we used for play
It was hands and feet and pieces of wood
and one bike for all, mate...
we explored every hole, every secret to know
places not allowed to be viewed
"wall of death" sled riders, in summer we turned
into "Squadron three-O-eight"

That was Hub and Pete, capt. Rob and me,
and few more, don't remember the names
we were reading war books, we were fearless dudes,
we were not to be afraid
there was discipline and seriousness,
we arranged extreme games
secret operations under secret code,
called: Squadron three-O-eight

Hard to believe in all the things we did,
the crew would always be alive (we never though)
ultimate battle (just) would end with defeat
the Squadron lost its heart…
I'd like to turn back time

We were homies next door, wanted much and way more
than the others could believe
the future we planned was yet never to come,
the bravest one took his way
thinking of the past, lighting every year
a candle on the lonely grave
recollecting missions that we never made
as a “Squadron three-O-eight”
